Sleeve Changing is a snap
In order to reduce change over time on their new Flexo Press to match the fast changeover times on their bag machines, Holweg has developed a new quick-change plate sleeve system. Printing sleeves are lightweight and safe to handle by one operator.
The new system enables the cylinder shaft to lift slightly on the operator side by means of a pneumatic jack. The cylinder is now in a cantilever position and the sleeve is removed by compressed air. The sleeve mandrel stays in the press and can accommodate the full range of sleeve sizes. Various types of sleeves can be used.
