Sleeve Forming and Welding Machine

The Future of Labeling
Fifteen years ago, DCM designed and built one of the first high speed sleeve forming machines. At that time, PVC was used for shrinkable sleeves. Various techniques were tested for seaming, such as solvent, ultrasonic, and hot melt. Finally, the solvent THF appears to be the easiest and the most reliable solution. Today, PET, PP, and PS are also used for sleeves, but PVC still remains the main film in this market.
Thanks to our extensive experience with this application, this machine is designed for a one man operation with cantilever loading/unloading shafts. The machine is compact with a short web path. Access to the components is easy, and all the adjustments can be achieved without tools from the operator side. Two UV lamps and a scale enable inspection control of the process.
