Titania & Titania Modular (Wide / Mid)

TITANIA is a high productivity printing press, specially designed for medium and long runs of materials for the flexible packaging, achieving an excellent printing quality.  It is conceived to satisfy the wide range of demand of the flexible packaging market and it can be provided in different configurations:

FEATURES:

• Unwinders and rewinders:  It can be configured with unwinder and rewinder modules with simple stations, double station and completely automatic change of the reel, without the intervention of any technician.

• Doctor blade:   The doctor blade incorporates a system which is adjustable in height, advance and inclination concerning the engraved roller, allowing the positioning of any job angle.  The new head is easy-handling, quick to change both blades and counter-blades and tool-less.

• Electronic transmission:  By means of independent asynchronous servomotors in each printing unit, achieving a high register precision and a drastic reduction of the waste when starting the machine.

• Pressure roller: type sleeve, making the change of the sleeve without losing the web tension.  The regulation o te pressure is pneumatic and individual for each end of the pressure roller.

• Front and back printing: for the printing of both sides of the web, there are different options of the configuration of the machine.  Printing modules can be configured with the front-back printing mode or a system of web turn bars can be installed.

• Tension control:  Equipped with the latest technology, they can keep a very precise web tension in all the production process.  Standard web tensions are from 30 to 350 N., with the possibility of achieving 600 N. (optionally).

• Industrial PC:  Centralized management from an industrial PC and a touch screen, general monitoring of the status of all the elements of the printing press, management of all the parameters of the printing press, memorization of all the job parameters, visualization of the current alarm messages and history of the last 500 notifications.

• Teleservice:  All our TITANIA printing presses are equipped with a system that allows a remote connection from our plant to any country in the world where a TITANIA is installed.

Drying System

Three types of drying screens (ST-1, PR and SPR) can be provided depending on the paths and necessary airflows for each printing unit.  In their new design, every parameter has been considered in detail in order to obtain an effective performance.  Drying screens are guide-mounted in long paths with pneumatic opening for easier access to the interior and the web feed rollers.  The drying system has some trapdoors for the recirculation and control of the solvent concentration in the air, and they can be manual or automatically operated (on demand).

Printing Units

Mounted on solid bedplates to ensure a rigid and vibration-free unit.  Printing units can be provided with fix inking system or with removable trolleys, including both the inking system and the engraved cylinder.  This system of removable trolleys achieves a drastic reduction of the time in job changes.  Optionally, trolleys for the applications of hot-melt, cold seal, solvent-based and solvent-less adhesives for the laminating can be included in our supply.

Titania Modula (Short-run Gravure)

TITANIA MODULA is a high performant rotogravure printing press which, apart from all the elements included in the conventional TITANIA, but with new technology non-existent before. The answer to short run and multiple SKU's. 

• Web widths from 33.5" up to 49"

• New automatic positioning of the gravure cylinder in registere prior to press start up.

• New servo positioning of the doctor blade angle and pressure that can be saved in the PLC for the next run.

• Automatic elevation of the ink pan according to the gravure cylinder being used.

Multicolor Narrow Web

Multicolor (Narrow Web Gravure)

MULTICOLOR is designed for the narrow web rotogravure printing, especially for short and medium runs, basically for sector like flexible packaging, labeling or printing of aluminum and aluminum complexes both for the pharmaceuticals and for the capsules sectors.

Its small dimensions and its accessibility make it an easy-handling machine and it is possible to make it produce at full capacity with only one operator. It is manufactured with the most innovative technology of the market and it is very compact, flexible and it is possible to get to all its elements without the need of using any ladder.

Special application for the lab sector, with simple station at unwinder and double station at rewinder.

FEATURES:

• Unwinders and rewinders: It can incorporate a large range of unwinders and rewinders depending on the printed materials, diameters of the reels, number of printing units and automatization degree.

• Printing unit:  The MULTICOLOR printing unit incorporates the engraved cylinder shaft fixed to the group.  The entry to the engraved cylinder is made for the front part of the printing module and this means that both traditional and light rollers can be used.

• Doctor blade:  Solid doctor blade equipped with adjustable seesaw.  The system is adjustable in height, advance and inclination, allowing the positioning of the system in any working angle about the engraved cylinder. 

• Electronic transmission:  By means of synchronous servomotors in each printing unit, due to the high precision of its electronic transmission, the compact design of the printing units and an integrated pre-register system achieve waste drastic reduction when it starts-up and assures an excellent precision of the register during all the running. 

• Pressure roller:  Type sleeve and tool-less.  The regulation of the pressure is pneumatic and individual for each end of the pressure roller.

• Front and back printing:  On demand, a system of turning bars can be installed between the printing units or the configuration of these units can be selected, in order to print front or back.

• Tension controls:  Last generation tension controls allow to fulfill the requirements of the most delicate materials, synchronous servomotors and last generation controls, that assure a constant tension of the web during all the production process.  The range of working speed is between 30 to 350 N.

Drying & Monitoring System

• Drying system:  High performance drying screens with manual or automatic air recirculation system by means of LEL system, optionally.  Printing unit can be equipped with screens of different paths and air flows (ST-1, ST-2 and PR).  Air heating can be made by thermal oil, gas burners or heating resistors.

• Industrial PC:  The operator can control and manage the whole machine from an industrial PC placed in the control desk and equipped with a touch screen.  Thanks to Giave experience in the market, we have developed a very intuitive and effective communication interface man-machine.  The industrial PC allows the memorization of all the parameters of the machine and informs the operator of any incidence that can be produced during the production process.
